Tournament Preview: July 20th – 23rd

We’re halfway through July, and the month has already been a packed one for ball hockey. July has seen its share of youth and adult tournaments, from the Gateway to the World Outdoor Ball Hockey Championships (WOBCH) to last weekend’s plethora of youth provincial tournaments. If you’re a fan of ball hockey, there’s no refuting that July has been an exciting time, and it’s not over yet. Four more tournaments will be active this weekend across Ontario and Newfoundland. Once again, we here at Stick Skillz will be providing a handy run-down of the tournaments to make following the events a little less work for you. Let’s get into it.

OBHF Women’s A, B & Master’s Provincials & OBHF Men’s A & Master’s Over 40 Provincials

The first two tournaments of the weekend will kick off on July 21st and run through the 23rd. The Women’s A, B & Master’s Provincials, and Men’s A & Master’s Over 40 Provincials are both Ontario Ball Hockey Federation (OBHF) tournaments and are taking place in New Tecumseth, Ontario, at the NTRC Pad 1, and Pad 2 arenas. Those interested in these events can check their respective schedules, scores, and standings right here.

CBHA Men’s B, C & D Nationals & CBHA Women’s B Nationals

The next set, and final two tournaments happening this weekend are the Canadian Ball Hockey Association (CBHA) Men’s B, C & D National, and Women’s National tournaments. These events started Thursday, July the 20th and run to Sunday, July the 23rd in Conception Bay South, Newfoundland. The events will host some of Canada’s best ball hockey players in a weekend long tournament. The Nationals will be live streamed all weekend right here, and all the games’ schedules can be found right here. If you’ve got an itch for some ball hockey action this weekend, try and catch some of the games. If you’ve already got a packed weekend planned, don’t worry, Stick Skillz will be posting updates throughout the tournament on our Twitter page (@stickskillz) as well.

As the month of July begins to wind down, it’s exciting to see tournaments like these continue to go strong.
