The close play continued into the second as both teams would find the back of the net again, making it 2-2 until Andrew Jegg of the War Pigs scored the game winner with just over 3 minutes remaining to secure a 3-2 win for Niagara. With the win, the War Pigs move into sole possession of second place with 13 points. The second game of the night featured the Vaughan Red Wings taking on the Barrie Flyers. Barrie came out of the gate quickly getting two back to back goals from Matthew Russell. However, the Red Wings would respond with three goals before the end of the half to take a 3-2 lead into the second. Vaughan would control the second half, scoring five times and holding the Flyers to just 1 second half goal enroute to an 8-3 win. Matt Martello of the Red Wings led all runners with 4 points (4A), while Matthew Russell had an outstanding game for Barrie scoring all three of the team’s goals.
