The 2017 Ontario Ball Hockey Federation Provincials Are Here

The Ontario Ball Hockey Federation (OBHF) Winter Provincials are upon us. The games will kick off Friday, May 26th and carry us through a weekend of intense ball hockey action. This year, 34 teams will be competing in the C, D and E Winter Provincial Championships in Barrie, ON. Each team is guaranteed 2 games with the winner of the round robin getting a bye to the Finals. Second and third place teams will play a semi-final game on Saturday night, and the finals will be played on Sunday morning.

The 2017 Winter Provincials promise to be quite the exciting event this year. In addition to the Provincials, three teams will be competing for a spot in the Nationals. Traditionally, a qualifier like this sees a much larger group, but that doesn’t mean that these games are going to be any less exciting. With the New Tecumseth Xtreme, Barrie Flyers, and the Niagara War Pigs competing for a spot, there’s a potential for an even more pulse-pounding display of ball hockey action. There’s never been such a fast road to the National qualification in the past, so it’s reasonable to assume that each team will be trying to take advantage, with an intense focus on their goal of being crowned the top team in the nation.

Whatever the outcome, you can certainly expect some top-tier play out of this weekend. Those who are interested can check out the full National Qualifier schedule , C schedule, D schedule, and E schedule right here.
